In November 2012 we had the privilege to continue work for the British Legion when we carried out some sash window renovations at Halsey House in Cromer. In total we have now draught proofed, overhauled and painted 32 sash windows. The major problem we had to encounter was the weight of the windows. One sash usually weighs on average about 20 lb, these weighed around 70-80 lbs a window. Our vast experience was called upon heavily to ensure that the renovations were carried out safely.

Also, due to the height and weight of the windows, it was difficult for the top sash to open safely.  Therefore, we fitted eyelets to the top sash and provided the client with sash poles to ensure a safe and smooth opening.

To our pleasure, we returned for a fifth phase early in 2013 where we will be reverting casement windows back into sash windows as they were originally intended.
