Case study
When asked to tender for the double glazing of the Cromer Town Council office we were understandably excited. With it being a listed building various meetings with the conservation and listing officers were undertaken to prove that the slim double glazing would not alter the charm or appearance of the historic building.
We were able to showcase our product by presenting them with an original sash window with one pane unaltered, and the other pane fitted with slim double glazing. The response from the conservation officer of “Well you can’t tell the difference” was enough for us to convince them that there was no reason why the property would not benefit from slim double glazing.
With very large panes facing the North Sea the offices were getting hit with very cold weather throughout the winter months. By installing slim double glazing into the existing sashes, coupled with the draught proofing they can be assured of a much warmer winter.
