Sills and the bottom rails of lower sashes are prone to the worst weathering, with signs of rot particularly where the old putty has cracked, allowing water to penetrate and sit against the timber.
Where timber has started to decay, we strip back the rotten wood, treat the remaining parts and rebuild them using the two-part epoxy resin Repair Care system. Larger sections can be repaired by joining in new timber using traditional joinery methods.
