Alex and Ross headed to Finsbury Park in North London to double glaze 8 sash windows and one door. Detailed measurements were carried out by Gary to ensure that the arched upper sash was measured correctly to accommodate the slim double glazing.
The windows were losing a lot of heat due to their size and the homeowner knew something had to be done. The sensible approach was to make sure that any original timber was retained. Not only is this sustainable, but keeps the windows more original.
Ross and Alex carefully routed to a deeper rebate in the original frame and the slim glass were fitted. The staff and parting beads were replaced with a specially fitted weather pile and all sash cords were renewed. The end results were pleasing for all involved.
